Here at Callaway, we believe that package sets shouldn’t just be for beginners. That’s why we developed the XR Men’s Package Set, which is jammed full of technology to help get the most of a wide range of skills and abilities.
From high-speed R*MOTO tech in the driver face, to Hyper Fast Channels in the fairway and hybrid, we have designed each club to maximise both distance and forgiveness. And with 13 clubs to choose from, you will have an option for almost any shot on the course.
What’s in the Bag? DRIVER
The 460 CC driver head has 10.5* of fixed loft and benefits from the inclusion of R*MOTO technology in the face. R*MOTO was trusted by Tour Pros and amateurs alike and immediately preceded our pioneering Jailbreak technology. The face of an R*MOTO driver is constructed 10% thinner, allowing for improved energy transfer and faster ball speeds.
This reduction in weight is then moved backwards in the clubhead to increase moment of inertia (MOI), which improves forgiveness on off centre strikes.
What’s in the Bag? FAIRWAY WOOD
The 15* 3 wood features a Hyper Face Channel for increased ball speed, improved forgiveness on off centre hits and an optimised launch. With a classic Callaway fairway wood head shape, it is designed to be used both off a tee and the fairway.
What’s in the Bag? HYBRID
Owing to their incredible versatility, hybirds are often the most used clubs in a players bag. And the XR set contains two of them! The 4 hybrid has 21* of loft and would be considered a replacement for a 4 iron, whilst the 5 hybrid presents 25* of loft and is more akin to a 5 iron. Both clubs feature the same Hyper Face Channel tech as the fairway wood and, thanks to the sole and face design, offer excellent useability off a tee, from the fairway and also from the rough.
What’s in the Bag? IRONS
The XR set contains six irons – 6,7,8,9 irons, a PW (Pitching Wedge) and an AW (Approach Wedge) with lofts ranging from 25* in the 6 iron to 50* in the AW. Cast with classic Callaway shaping, they are designed to inspire confidence at address and offer great ball speeds and forgiveness through the strike. The addition of an AW to the set ensures a more consistent gapping between the PW and the SW (Sand Wedge).
What’s in the Bag? SAND WEDGE
The XR Sand Wedge (or SW for short) has 55* of loft and a classic wedge shaping. The wider sole and increased bounce offer a greater flexibility of use than the PW or the AW, meaning this will typically be the club of choice from bunkers, longer rough and where more height is required around the greens.
What’s in the Bag? ODYSSEY DFX #7 PUTTER
With a premium, all black finish, the DFX range of putters from Odyssey have been popular sellers over recent years. Designed with performance in mind, the all black DFX insert is actually softer than our iconic White Hot face, offering great feel and feedback when the putt is struck.
The shaping of the iconic #7 head is designed to offer increased face stability on off centre strikes, thus improving the proximity to hole of a poorly struck putt – and believe us, we all do it from time to time!
PREMIUM STAND BAG AND MATCHING HEADCOVERS
The matching stand bag offers great storage via six easily accessible pockets, has room for two drinks bottles and features a padded double strap and comfy hip pads for when the bag is on the shoulders. It has a seven way padded top, which includes a putter well and is complimented by matching headcovers for the driver, fairway wood, hybrids and putter.
